RESISTIVE LEVEL GAUGES

« Go back

Resistive Level Gauges, also called “capacitive” or “multiprobe,” are used on boilers for steam generation at high temperature and pressure. They consist of a steel bypass chamber that have inside several probes that detect the presence of liquid or steam and transmit it to a control unit where it is shown through LEDs that appear green in case of liquid and red in case of steam. The sensors are made of two metal parts insulated by a ceramic one and detect the difference in conductivity between the liquid and the steam.
