Multiport Averaging Pitot Tube \u2013 APT (FE) are applied for clean fluids in large size pipe and
when static pressure is low.
They allow low permanent pressure loss and allow flow measurement where other instruments applications would be difficult or not applicable (e.g. chimneys).
The instrument is placed vertically on the pipe. The flow rate is obtained knowing the velocity profile in the pipe section.
